Mold Resin P + Hardener P-25 (20 min)
Resin for molds P
Hard elastic, good edge strength
Excellent grinding and polishing properties (Shore D hardness Ø 75)
Thixotropic (anti-drop) Produced under vacuum, therefore perfectly free of air bubbles and homogeneous
This two-component epoxy resin is black in color for building in-mold gel coatings with high edge strength and good polishing properties.
P-mold resin is processed and cured at room temperature with epoxy resin laminates and laminating ceramics. Unlike resin and metal systems, the surfaces are polishable.
This gel coating for tools is hard-elastic, i.e. non-brittle, and has good edge resistance.

Consumption: approx. 0.6 kg/m² (thickness Ø 0.5 mm)
Hardener P-25 Hardener for Mold Resin P with a pot life of 20 minutes.
Excellent chemical resistance (as resistant to styrene as possible)
Free from nonylphenol and benzyl alcohol
Mixing ratio: 100 : 25 parts by weight of resin to hardener
Processing time (preparation of 100 g at 20 °C): 20 minutes
Gelation time (at 20 °C/1 mm layer thickness): approx. 2 hours
Curing time (at 23°C): 24 hours
Temperature resistance: 70 °C

Instructions for processing in GFK mould construction Error-free application is possible on most release agents. However, if "eyes" should form due to poor wetting of the substrate, the second layer of mold resin can be applied to the still tacky layer after gelation (a few hours of hardening at room temperature). Applying two coats eliminates any imperfections.

Procedure
1. Apply the mould resin with a brush, layer thickness approx. 0.5 mm, leave to gel (approx. 2 hours at room temperature)

2. if defects ("eyes") appear due to the release agent, apply the second layer of mould resin, let it gel

3. Apply a rich coupling layer of laminating resin, glass fiber shavings + cotton flakes of several mm thickness

4. Place the glass fabric in the wet mating layer and laminate on additional layers of glass to strengthen it Perform all work wet on wet so that the layers adhere well to each other.

Of course, other structures are also possible. Depending on the size and geometry of the mold, other constructions are possible:
- Laminate directly onto the resin of the mold, but starting with a very fine fabric so that the structure does not pass through.
-Carbon fiber cloth laminate, low mold weight, high rigidity.
- Laminate made of carbon fiber fabric and aramid honeycomb as middle layer, very low mold weight with high rigidity.
- Laminate made with laminated ceramic; fast assembly, very rigid, but also higher mold weight. - Solid, rigid molds made of mold resin with a thick-walled support of resin and fillers such as sand, Poraver and the like.
